Can't I not feel so empty?
There must be something
That can fill this hole
And wash away the dark
I've tried love and I've never found it
I've tried a choir and no joy has come
There is music
But it is only temporary
The warmth of the bright sun
Cannot warm my chilled soul
The cool glow of the moon
Cannot extinguish the passion
I nurse inside myself
I start to write
My pen making scratching noises
I start to draw
The pencil becoming smaller as time goes on
Then a realization hits me
That daydreaming seems to be
The only working remedy
