Heart of a Vampire-Ch. 1

Chapter One:The Start
I never like showing my eyes to anyone. Not even my mom. I was just lucky that this school lets their students wear hats in school. In fact out of the very many schools I've been in this was the only one that let me wear something on my head. But if that rule was here I would put my very long bangs down. I only do that because I hate people looking me in the eye just because I liked to wear black.
I see black as a sense of confidence or power or intelligence. Come to think of it I did have the best grades in all my classes. But anyway,once I stepped into that school people were all ready talking about me as I walked past them. They said things like. "Who's the freaky new kid?" and "Why is she covering her eyes?" and "Oh my gosh. She wears way too many neckleces." Those are good questions but it is none of their businesses. If I want to wear twenty pounds of necklaces that's my desicion. If I want to be a freaky kid in school that's my desicion. And if I want to cover my eyes that's my freakin' desicion.
I found my homeroom and took my assigned seat. Then I saw the one type of girl I can not stand. The one girl that always wears too girly clothes and always has a smile,sucks up to teachers,and is jerky to everyone else that doesn't think she's the superior being in the whole school. So she puts them down. She walks in and does that really annoying 'flash a smile at everyone thing' that every popular girl does. Then she looks at me and made a face that looked like she was going to be sick,but she smiled anyway just because the teacher was in the room.
Then the teacher said. "I have to go and teach another class this homeroom so stay out of trouble. Kris,watch the class." she said as she pointed to the smiling girl. "No problem." she answered with a huge smile.(Yuck) Once the door closed she put on her mean girl face and strutted towards me. Oh God that is so annoying! She got about two feet away from me and said. "What are you nocturnal or are you just embarassed?" And I did what I usually do when I face the mean girl in school. I stood up,got right in front of her and said. "Are those designers?" I asked just showing my smile with my eyes covered by shadow from the small rim of my skater hat. "Yeah. Thanks for noticing." Kris answered. "Cause they're not. I saw them hanging in Wal-mart for five bucks." I answered crossing my arms.
The class ooo'd as we stared at each other. Me through the shadows,her staring at shadow. "Yeah, well, at least I have friends." she said as she crossed her arms. "Oh good your leaving. Oh,wait,no that was your face." I finished as I leaned back onto my heels,spreading open my arms. Kris humphed and went to her seat. Then another shadow cast over me. It better not be one of her friends. "What is it now?" I groaned. "I want to learn some more about you that's what." a voice said.
Huh? Rewind. Did someone actually welcome me for real for once? I turned around and saw a really cute guy. My back muscles tightened as my heart started to ache. Stop it,stop it,stop it! I've never fallen for guys and I've never dated one. So this isn't the time! "I'm Jordan." he said with a smile. But it wasn't fake. My first real person smile besides my mom! I stood up and outstretched my hand. "Klio." I said back as we shook hands. As we did I looked him in the eye. Nope,no lies. Every single thing he said was true. "So. Let me give you the classroom tour." he told me. He told me everyone's name and what they like. Jordan seemed to be the popular boy. This is probably going to be trouble with Kris. Then as my prediction came true,Kris started to walk back over. "Hey Jordan. I see you've met her." Kris said giving me the evil eye. Like I cared. I could kick her butt if I wanted to. And she's getting very close to a butt whoopin'. She stood in front of him and possesivily put a finger through his belt loop.
"Soon I will make you mine." she said to him. He rolled his eyes at her and Kris ignored him. "Why are you still here?" she asked. And that was it. I blew like a fire cracker. I grabbed her right arm and pinned it to her back then grabbed one of her giant hoop earrings and pulled down as I whispered angrily in her ear. "You best not get too close to me as you insult me or you'd be having a bloody ear right now." I pulled harder on her hoop. "Whatever,whatever. Just stop it!" Kris pleaded. I released her and she rubbed her ear. She turned around to face me and all she could get out was. "Freak." And I answered. "Yeah and don't you forget it." Oh yeah. Don't mess with the girl that has the level of grandmaster in ancient Canghzen kung-fu. (Heck,I even teach a class.)
"Wow. What was that all about?" Jordan asked. "Oh just a little dragon style kung-fu." I answered. "You got to teach me some of that." he asked. "Sure. My place after school today. I'll teach you basics." I gave him a piece of notebook paper with instructions to get to my new house. "Sweet. See you there." he ran off to his class as I got my stuff since the bell rang. Wow what a first day.
